What is a Hoyden?

Hoyden Creative was not named after someone’s dead aunt or a small town in the Midwest. It was a carefully selected word based on the attitude that we want have: boisterous. We want to be noticed, heard, and unforgettable (and we apply this same enthusiasm to our clients).

Oh, and the term applies to females, which the founders are, and therefore it made perfect sense.

What makes us different?

Life is too short to feel like no one is paying attention to you – that’s why we engage with you to listen to your goals, ideas, and alternately, to hear your pain points. It takes time and effort to go through this step but helps you feel that you are not blindly dumping resources into a marketing solution. We see ourselves as joining your team and working together toward your success. We believe this sets us apart from our competitors in a big way.

Sarah earned her BS in Scientific and Technical Communications from Michigan Technological University and her MBA from Florida Atlantic University.

Molly Mason

Founder, Chief Creative Officer

Molly loves developing brands for startups, improving the marketing of second stage companies, designing just about anything, and teaching small business owners how to improve their strategy for increased sales and growth. She particularly enjoys sharing ideas that make others have a lightbulb moment. She earned her BA from Siena Heights University.

As Hoyden’s operations director, Rik works tirelessly to keep projects on scope, budgets on target, and to bring order to projects large and small. To Rik, the most satisfying part of his work is seeing a program come together to provide positive results for our clients. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communications from Northern Michigan University.

Paige loves to work with all aspects of marketing. She chose to pursue marketing because it allows her to apply a creative mindset to multiple platforms. She aspires to expand her knowledge of social media marketing and graphic design skills by helping clients develop and maintain brand strategy. Paige moved from Canada to play hockey and study marketing at Adrian College. Her love for athletics goes hand-in-hand with her love for Tim Horton’s and candy.
